My Stepdad Joost is walking the entire Via de la Plata from Seville to Santiago de Compostella with his firend Rob. This is an impressive 1000 kilometers (sorry you will need to work out the miles for yourself if you are still not metric. It's approximately 621.37 miles.;-) ).
Anyway Brian (brother in law) and myself have decided to join them for a week from the 5th of February to the 12th which means we will be walking from Salamanca to Zamora or there abouts.

We will be carrying everything we need on our backs and therefore are bringing the bear essentials, i.e. clean underwear and a toothbrush! Every night we will be staying in a hostel / hotel which has special rates for pilgrims, at least we hope so. Anyway, please feel free to follow us on our adventure.
